About advertising (current status)

This site does not contain any advertising code at the moment, and it has no visitor analytics tool. We plan to show ads through Google AdSense. Once ads are shown, what is described below will apply. We will check and update this notice before ads are turned on. If we add affiliate links, we will describe them here first.

How cookies will be used once ads are shown

• Google and other third-party advertisers may place and read cookies on the device you use to visit this site. They may also collect information through web beacons and your IP address.
• Google may show ads based on your earlier visits to this and other sites.
• You can read how Google uses data from partner sites on Google's explanation page.
• You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings. Ads will still appear but will be based on context such as page content rather than your earlier visits.
• We do not plan to use any ad network other than Google AdSense. If that changes, we will say so here first.

Google's policy requires consent for cookies from visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland. We will check the settings and wording for this when ads are actually turned on. It is not in place yet.
